Evelyn Whitzel

Evelyn Louise Whitzel, 62, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. She was born December 29, 1952 in Carlisle to the late Charles E. and Alice I. Waggle Fahnestock. Evelyn worked for 23 years for the Triple R Janitorial Service and was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crocheting and reading, and loved to cook for her family.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Whitzel and two sons; Adam R. (Tommy) Whitzel of Clear Spring, MD and Brian R. (Kimberly) Whitzel of Mt. Holly Springs. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Levi and Savannah and is also survived by her brother, Raymond D. Fahnestock of Mt. Holly Springs and three sisters, Martha Fahnestock of McConnellsburg and Connie Moffit and Nancy I. Lawson, both of Carlisle. She was predeceased by five brothers: Charles, Kenneth, James, Gary, and Joseph Fahnestock.

A viewing will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12 noon in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made to www.hollingerfuneralhome.com
