Esther Rudolph

Esther Susan (Shank) Rudolph, of 394 Autumn Dr., Carlisle, PA 17015, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 84 years, 4 months, 15 days. She was born November 3, 1932 in Hanover, PA to the late Melvin J. and Katie B. (Horst) Shank and was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Church.

Esther is survived by her husband, Noah D. Rudolph of 62 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six sons: Simeon and wife Wilma, Oaxaca, MX, Titus and wife Rhonda, Arcadia, FL, Jonathan and wife Ruth Ann, Boiling Springs, PA, Isaac and wife Ami, Carlisle, PA, James and wife Kathleen, Carlisle, PA, Seth and wife Darlene, Ionia, MI and six daughters: Susanna, wife of Daniel Burkholder, Carlisle, PA, Miriam and Dorcas, both at home, Deborah, wife of Steve Wagner, Paraguay, SA, Phebe, wife of Laverne Martin, Arcadia, FL, and Naomi, wife of Luke Kraybill, Dillsburg, PA. Also surviving are 93 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob and Enos, both Hanover, PA; and four sisters, Lois Danner, Eunice and Orpha Shank, all of Hanover, PA and Rebecca, wife of John G. Brubaker, Carlisle, PA. She was preceded in death by one infant brother, Paul and two sisters, Rhoda Rudolph and Rachel Diller.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00AM in the Mountain View Mennonite Church, 720 Burnt House Rd., Carlisle, PA 17015 with the Mountain View Mennonite Ministry, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain View Mennonite Church, 95 Brittany Lane, Dillsburg, PA 17019 , Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home, Mt.
