Elizabeth Gitt

Elizabeth F. Gitt, 87, formally of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at  her nephew Ted and his wife Tammy Gitt’s home in Shippensburg, where she has resided for the past five years. She was born April 17, 1927 in Mt. Holly Springs, PA to the late Jessie and Mable Shearer Gitt. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth retired from the Kimberly-Clark Co. and later worked at the Uni-Mart in Mt. Holly Springs. She was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was predeceased in death by her son, Robert Oliver Gitt and three brothers: Irwin, Charles, and Landis Gitt, all whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA with and The Rev. Arlene Dunn, Chaplain officiating.  Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
