Elizabeth Crum

Elizabeth Isabelle Crum, 93, formerly of Boiling Springs and Mt. Holly Springs, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home. She was the widow of Abel T. Crum Sr., who passed away July 27, 2013. Elizabeth was born November 12, 1920 in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Nelson & Mary Seavers Gottshall.  She worked at several dress factories including: Condor-Murphy, Trostles, Blough-Wagner and the Carlisle Sewing Factory. Talented in many areas, Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Abel “Tom” (Kathleen) Crum Jr. of Carlisle; two daughters, Mary Anne (Marlin) Fry and Deborah E. (Fred) Stahl, both of Mt. Holly Springs; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Nellie Bittinger of Portland, OR. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia E. Thomas; her son- in-law, Richard Thomas; grandsons, Jeff and Scott Thomas; her sister, Grace Gitt and brothers, Harry and Seavers Gottshall.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Alwine, her pastor, officiating. A visitation will be in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:00 PM.
