Edward Brian Hill of Camp Hill, PA passed away on Monday, June 15th at Country Meadows Nursing Home. He was born August 10th, 1936 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Mamie Gladys Bullock Hill and William Jennings Brian Hill.
Edward was preceded in death by his sister, Janie Mae Buchanan and brother, William Reed Hill. Surviving are his sisters Margaret Ruth Woods and Nancy Jo Leigh. He will be dearly missed by eleven nieces and nephews.
“Eddie” was raised in his beloved home town of Cookeville, Tennessee. After the passing of his Mother he resided under the loving care of his sisters Nancy and Ruth, spending the last 15 years in Camp Hill. Those who knew Eddie came to appreciate his sweet, humble nature and special sense of humor. Eddie was as devoted to the care of his sister Ruth as she was to him. Eddie loved recalling his childhood memories of Cookeville, Tennessee, his Presbyterian Church there, and particularly his time spent visiting his Uncle Jim’s Ford dealership.Eddie’s passion and knowledge of classic cars was truly remarkable.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at the Country and Town Baptist Church, 220 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. A graveside service will be held at the Salem Cemetery in Cookeville, Tennessee, where Eddie will be placed to rest beside his parents.
