Edward Hanratty

Edward F. Hanratty, 88, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 in the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Harrisburg, PA. He was born August 21, 1927 in Philadelphia to the late James and Sarah (McCall) Hanratty.

Edward served in the US Navy during World War II and was a top salesman for various carpet manufacturers from Dalton, Georgia. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Mechanicsburg Club. Edward was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edna E. (Abel) Hanratty; two sons, Glenn E. of Pine City, NY and Dennis F. (Renee) of Carlisle. Also surviving are two grandsons, Dennis Jr. of Mechanicsburg and Jonathan of Boulder, CO; and two great grandsons, Ethan and Carson, both of Mechanicsburg,

Memorial Mass in his Memory will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 9:00 AM in Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 410 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Father Thomas Rozman celebrant. Interment will follow the services in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church.
