Douglas Richwine

d. February 1, 2016

Douglas Q. Richwine, 52, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away at home on Monday evening, February 1, 2016, seventeen days before his 53 rd birthday. He was born February 18, 1963 in Carlisle, PA to Ann Bair Olberg of Mechanicsburg and the late Ross Richwine. Doug was baptized Lutheran when he was 36 hours old. He was operated on immediately by Dr. William L. Shelley, a physician at the Carlisle Hospital. At the age of 3, Doug was diagnosed with a rare anemia by Dr. James Crispen, Kline Building, Polyclinic Hospital. We have these two doctors to thank for the years we had with Doug.

Doug was a graduate of Carlisle High School and worked for Rynard and Sheaffer Masonry Contractors for 30 years. A member of the Carlisle Eagles Aerie 1299, V.F.W. Post 7343 and American Legion Post 674, both of Mt. Holly Springs, he was also an avid bowler playing at Midway and The Eagles.

In addition to his mother, Ann R. Olberg and her husband Bill, he is survived by his wife, Debra Zimmerman Richwine of Mt Holly Springs; and two daughters, Alyshia Bailey and her husband Anthony of Idaho and Danielle Richwine and her companion Israel of Mt. Holly Springs. Also surviving is a brother, Brad Richwine and his wife Karen of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Lisa Hann and her husband Bill of Altoona; his stepmother, Terry Richwine of FL; an aunt, Kathryn Rynard of Mt. Holly Springs; and an uncle, Don Bair and his wife Lucy of Mechanicsburg; and many cousins and in laws. Doug joins his family members in heaven: his father, Ross S. Richwine Jr. and grandparents, Ross and Lucy Richwine and John and Ethel Bair.

A celebration of Doug's Life will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Carlisle Elks Lodge BPOE 578, 120 W. Ridge Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
