Dorothy Jane Hollinger

Dorothy Jane (Westfall) Hollinger, 97, passed away on November 22, 2024, in her residence. She was born September 22, 1927, in Mechanicsburg to the late Raymond and Abigail (Miller) Westfall and was the widow of Gene Hollinger, who passed away July 27, 2017.

Dorothy was a Mechanicsburg High School graduate, class of 1945.

Surviving is her loving daughter, Gayle Shaver (Scott) of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Sara C. Shaffer (Rob) of Mechanicsburg and David “Bucky” Koysk (Casey) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; great grandchildren, Grace Hollinger of Parish, FL, and Joshua; one great great granddaughter; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, G. Michael Hollinger, grandson, Joshua Hollinger; and brother, John Westfall.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family and burial will be held in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
