Dorothy Kriete

Dorothy E. Kriete, 87, of South Middleton Twp. Gardners, passed away Tuesday June 24, 2014 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born December 27, 1926 in Hamtramck, MI to the late Norman and Lydia Reppenhagen Schoen.

She retired from the US Army War College Library and was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. Dorothy was a member of the Cumberland County Historical Society. She loved singing and bird watching.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Charles F. Kriete, her daughter Barbara (Stephen) Landis of Carlisle and three sons; Fritz (Debra) Kriete of Harrisburg, Norman Otto (Karol) Kriete of Wendell NC, Charles Nicholas (Ellen) Kriete of Birmingham, MI, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sisters Emily J. Burrell, of Ann Arbor, MI and Ruth M. Michael of Saline, MI

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00AM, June 30, in her church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with the Very Reverend William C. Forrey, VF celebrant. The interment will be in the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, N. Middleton Twp. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs.
