Doris Long

Doris W. Long, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015.  She was a resident of the Church of God Home in Carlisle and formerly from Camp Hill, PA. She was born November 5, 1924 in Harrisburg to the late Hughlett S. and Mildred Mae Nonemaker Woodward and was the widow of Robert M. Long.

Doris was retired from Nationwide Insurance.  She was a lifelong member of the Camp Hill Church of God and served her Lord in many ways. She was known for the homemade candies and cards that friends and family enjoyed.  At the Church of God Home, Doris volunteered and played the piano.

She is survived by her sister, Alta W. Sheaffer of Mechanicsburg; special caregiver, Donna J. Brosious (niece); and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers: Vance, Lee and Robert Woodward.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Camp Hill Cemetery, N. 21 ^st St., Camp Hill, PA 17011 with the Rev. Bradley Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, Camp Hill Church of God, 123 North 21 ^st St., Camp Hill, PA 17011 or the Church of God Home, 801 N.
