Doris Brion

Doris M. Brion, 75, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. Doris was born March 2, 1942 in Williamsport, PA to the late Alfred A. and Lena (Brown) Kreger. She is the widow of Donald L. Brion, who passed away in 2013.

Doris was a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1960. She attended flight attendant school in Minnesota. Doris worked as a Door Checker in the Holland Union Building of Dickinson College, where she served for 28 years. A member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Carlisle and the Circle One Women's Bible Study. She also helped serve meals on Wednesday nights to the needy. The Webelos den mother for cub scouts in pack 197 and a member of the Hope Lutheran Church women's bowling league in Hampton Va.

She is survived by her son, Daniel L. Brion and wife, Rae of Middletown, PA; three grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Nicole Brion; and siblings, Edith Streck of El Paso, TX and Harry Kreger of Millerton, PA. Doris is preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Ray Brion and siblings, Alfred L., Paul and Walter Kreger, Rosella Zelena and Alma J. Mosher.

Services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther St., Carlisle, PA 17013, with Rev. Robert Moore officiating. A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
