Donald Elder

Donald R. Elder, 85, formerly of Saxton, Mechanicsburg and Carlisle, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home. He was born December 24, 1930 in Saxton, PA to the late Frank and Edna Evans Elder. Donald was retired from WSM and was a member of the VFW Post 6704, American Legion Post 109 and the Mechanicsburg Club. From 1947 to 1958, he served in the US Navy and is a Korean War veteran.

Donald is survived by his wife, Eva V. Lewis Elder of Carlisle; nephew, Kenneth Elder of Six Mile Run, PA; several nieces and nephews; and his first wife, Annabelle Irene Gray Elder of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gayle A. Elder Anderson who passed away May 1, 2014 and his brother, Kenneth R. Elder.
