Dolores E. Fortney

Dolores E. Fortney, 101, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born August 9, 1923, in Carlisle to the late John Edward and Frances “Fannie” Marie (Hoke) Fortney.

Dolores was a lifelong and faithful member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carlisle. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1941, Carlisle Hospital Auxiliary, volunteer of Carlisle Hospital, Meals on Wheels and a former member of Meals on Wheels board. She retired from Carlisle Tire and Wheel company.

Dolores is survived by several cousins.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 24, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the St. Patrick Shrine Church, 152 E. Pomfret St, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Donald Bender officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, St. Patrick Shrine Church, 3rd Century Fund. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt.
