Dennis Steigleman

Dennis Bennett Steigleman, 80, of New Bloomfield, PA passed away January 17, 2021 in the Premier at Perry Village. He was born July 10, 1940 to the late John William and Gladys (Kerns) Steigleman Sr. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty May (Jones) Steigleman.

Dennis was a mechanic all his life, retiring from Motor Truck Company. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors. Dennis lived in the mountains of Perry County before entering the nursing home. His mother would joke, “he was born 100 years too late because he lived the lifestyle of a mountain man.”

Surviving are his children, Daniel Steigleman (Wendy) of Newport and Denise Ly of Carlisle; grandchildren, Michael Steigleman, Christopher and Jessica Ly; great-grandson, John Ly; and siblings, John W. Steigleman Jr., Dawn Garner, Gerald Steigleman, Judy Poist, and Edward Steigleman, all of Carlisle. In addition to his wife, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Paula McCart.
