Dennis Burkholder

Dennis A. (Burk) Burkholder, 65, of Mt. Holly Springs passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his home. He was born November 18, 1947 in Chambersburg, PA to the late Arthur & Cleo Whisler Burkholder.
Burk retired from the former ABF Trucking Co.  He was a member of the Allen Masonic Lodge #276 F&AM of Columbiana, Ohio and the Shrine. He was a life member of the VFW #7343 and American Legion #674. Dennis also belonged to the following: Family Order of Moose of Carlisle, Eagles # 1299 and the Woodhouse Hunting Club of Morris, PA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed four wheeling on his ATV. Burk liked to collect tractors and old cars. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is survived  by a son, Troy M. (Patricia) Burkholder of Dillsburg; his step-father, Herman E. (Cleo) Spangler of Carlisle; and a step-daughter, Rhonda Guyton of Warrensburg, Missouri. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Catlyn, Guyton, Sadie Lehman and Louis Algaier; his brother, Ronald Burkholder of Carlisle and his companion, Jeanne L. Beat.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM, January 13 in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. Rev. Richard Reese will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A Masonic service by Lodge # 260 will be held before the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his Masonic Lodge, # 276 in Columbiana, Ohio.
