David Glen Kutz, 74, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on October 19, 2024, at home. He was born in Pottsville, PA to the late Ralph and Charlotte (Luckenbill) Kutz.
David retired from Highmark as a senior software consultant and volunteered for over 18 years at the Highmark Caring Place. He was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church and enjoyed landscaping and gardening, baking, traveling, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. David proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1968-1972 and loved telling stories about his time working on the SR-71 Blackbird.
Surviving is his wife, Mary P. (Guenthner) Kutz of Carlisle; children, Marisha Kutz of Washington DC and Adam Kutz of Columbia, MD; siblings, Carole Gundrum of Schuylkill Haven, Brenda Fessler of Auburn, PA, and Ron Kutz of Manheim, PA. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph Jr. Kutz and Lamar Kutz. David is also survived by many beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Jeff Gibelius officiating. A repass will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highmark Caring Place, 1800 Center Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or ALS United Mid-Atlantic, 1015 Virginia Drive, Suite 110 Fort Washington, PA 19034.
