David L. Conrad, 70, of Newville, PA, passed away on August 31, 2024, in his residence. He was born May 8, 1954, in Mechanicsburg, PA, to the late Wayne R. and Hazel (Myers) Conrad.
David worked for Penn Dot as an equipment operator and previously worked for McCorkel Construction. He was a member of many organizations including; VFW in Carlisle Post #477, South Mountain American Legion Post #674 in Mt. Holly Springs, Masonic Lodge Post #260 in Carlisle, Moose Lodge in Carlisle, Enola Sportsmen’s Association in Enola and The Carlisle Country Club and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his grandkids ride four wheelers. He was very proud of the family farm in Silver Springs Township. In his spare time, he enjoyed indulging in an occasional alcoholic beverage.
Surviving are his children, Joshua L. Conrad (Lindsey) of Mechanicsburg and Bridget Kitzmiller of Shermans dale; grandchildren, Zander, Joshua Jr., Curtis, Alyssa, Kayla, Paxton, Dallas, Brianna, Ian, and Jakob; siblings, Mike, Katherine, Mary, Shirley, Clara, and Helen; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Karalee Highlands. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, David L. Conrad, Jr., and brothers, Dennis and Sam.
A public viewing will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, from 9 AM until 11 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
