Dallas E. Wilson Sr., 83, formerly of Gardners, PA, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born September 20,1933 in Newville, PA to the late Frank and Verna Darr Wilson, he was the widower of Marlene M. Wilson who passed away April 17, 2001.
Dallas retired from Motts with 40 years of service and was a member of the Uriah United Methodist Church. An avid gardener and known for his sweet potatoes, he had standing orders each season. Dallas was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Stengel of Elizabethtown and three sons, Dallas E.(Deborah) Wilson Jr. of Suffolk, VA, Scott A. (Monica) Wilson of Newville and Jeffrey L. Wilson of Gardners. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Frank Wilson Jr. of Aspers, Ruth Miller of Havre De Grace, MD and Lou Wolf of Carlisle. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Robert Stengel and brothers, John E., Reese D. and Richard Wilson.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:00AM in his church with Rev. William McNeal officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016from 6 to 8 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 and Wednesday at the church from 9 to 10 AM.
