Coralea R. Riggeal, 82 of Gettysburg, passed away Tuesday July 1, 2014 in the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. She was born October 8, 1931 in Frederick County, MD to the late Melvin F. and Mary M. Keckler Overholtzer. Coralea graduated from the Taneytown High School, class of 1949. She owned and operated her own restaurant in Gettysburg “Cora’s Kitchen”. A member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Littlestown. She was one of 10 brothers and 6 sisters. She loved to cook and watch the Baltimore Orioles. She was a wonderful wife, devoted mother and grandmother.
Survived by her husband, Ivan Z. Riggeal and her son Brian K. (Carolyn) Slaybaugh of Orrtanna; step-son Jeffrey G. Riggeal of Winter Haven, FL., step-daughter Vickie V. ((Mike) Gastley of Fairfield, 4 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren, and three sisters Marie Selby of Harney, MD, Wanda Strickhouser of Dover, and Janet Kriet of Westminster ,MD. She was predeceased by her son Douglas E. Slaybaugh and step-son Ronald I. Riggeal
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 7 at 11:00AM in her church, Bethel Assembly of God, 1125 Frederick Pike, Littlestown, PA 17340, with Pastor Gary Sheaffer officiating. Visitation and luncheon will follow the services in her church. Interment will be held in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens July 9 at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Rd., Gettysburg, PA 17325. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
