Clyde Yoder

Clyde W. Yoder, 89, of McVeytown, PA passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Valley View Haven Retirement Community in Belleville, PA. He was born October 17, 1926 in Bratton Twp., PA to the late Lewis and Dorothy Fagan Yoder. He was the widower of Margaret Elizabeth Yoder.

Clyde was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII. He retired as a mechanic from the former AVTEX Fiber Co. of Lewistown. He was a member of McVeytown Masonic Lodge 376 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Tall Cedars of Lebanon #88, Mt. Union American Legion Post 107 and the McVeytown Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the Men's Bible class.

Surviving Clyde is his wife Louise Yoder of Lewistown; a son, Gregory Max Yoder and his wife, Amy Beth of McVeytown; two grandchildren, Heather Brought  of Lewistown and Stewart Yoder of Burnham; and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his twin brothers, Robert Yoder of Reedsville and Ronald Yoder of Lewistown; three sisters, Sara Espigh, Frances Cowan both of Lewistown and Nannie Irvin of McVeytown. Preceded in death by a sister, Esther Kauffman.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the McVeytown Presbyterian Church, 5 N. Queen St., McVeytown, PA 17051 with the Rev. Scott Andrews and Rev. James Yoder officiating. Burial will take place in Mattawanna Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the start of the service on Wednesday at the church.
