Clyde E. Martin, 64, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the home he shared with his daughter, Lisa, son-in-law, Kris and grandchildren, Kaydee, Teddy and Jaxon. He was born on April 21, 1954 to the late Clarence and Thelma (Gettel) Martin.
Clyde started life as a dairy farmer, driving tractors when he was so little his parents would tell him, "shut the key off Clyde" because he couldn't reach the pedals. Later in life he enjoyed being a heavy equipment operator. Clyde was a very big part in the lives of the grandchildren he lived with. He enjoyed watching them play with farm toys, reading Bible stories and watching movies together. Clyde spent as much time as he could with his youngest grandchild, Jaxon Clyde, who was named to honor him; something he was very proud of. He was the kind of person who would give to anyone in need, even if he couldn't afford to. Clyde often spoke of the need to forgive those who have hurt us, saying "just forgive them and then it all goes away."
He is survived by his children, Lisa Milburn and husband, Kris of Mt. Holly Springs, Amy Ehrhartart and husband, Jon of Chambersburg, Jeremiah Martin of Colorado and Stephanie Rosenberry and husband, Ben of Shippensburg; 8 grandchildren; and siblings, Robert Martin and wife, Pat of Marion, Garry Martin and wife, Vicky of Mercersburg, Ruth Bradley of Michigan, Ray Martin and wife, Gloria of South Carolina and Peggy Porter and husband, Gerry of Virginia.
