Cleista March

Cleista May March, 82, of Green Ridge Village, Newville and formerly of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her home. She was born March  19, 1934 in Carlisle, PA to the late William and Hazel Monosmith Barrett and was the widow of Mervin J. March who passed away May 17, 2013.

Cleista retired from Forest Park Health Center and was a former employee of Condor Murphy in Mt. Holly Springs. A member of Barnitz United Methodist Church; she sang in the choir and she and her husband were the church custodians. Cleista's favorite hobbies were crocheting, crossword puzzles and she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Michael Lee (Merry) March of Gardners; a daughter, Deborah (Pastor Jonathan) Bream of Carlisle; a sister, Pamella Gitt of Carlisle; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Jean Hippensteel.

Memorial services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Barnitz United Methodist Church, 23 Church Lane, Carlisle, PA 17015 with the Rev. Matthew Plant officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
