Christopher Vreeland

Christopher Scott Vreeland, 37, of Boiling Springs, PA, passed away July 15, 2020. He was born on December 17, 1982 in Pequannock, NJ to Raymond Vreeland of New Jersey and Nancy (Kovalycsik) Vreeland of Boiling Springs.

Christopher worked as a carpenter for Van Harken Builder Home Construction. He was a wonderful mechanic who liked to build cars, motorcycles or quads and he loved riding them. Christopher loved dogs and when he was at his best, he loved people and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed good food and a good cup of coffee. Christopher liked to dress nicely, and his favorite was a good pair of sneakers and a ball cap. Raised in the Byzantine Catholic Church, Christopher was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Passaiac, NJ and he attended St. Ann’s Parish in Harrisburg. Having a fond love of family and friends, he had a special relationship with Bob Koch, his stepfather, and his most loving neighbors, the Elstons.

In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his daughter, McKayla Patrice Vreeland; maternal grandmother, Joan Kovalycsik of New Jersey; and aunts, Joy Kovalycsik and Lea Vreeland Mueller, both of New Jersey.

A celebration of Christopher’s amazing life will be announced at a later date.
