Charles R. "Cider" March

Charles R. "Cider" March, 91, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Thornwald Home, Carlisle. He was born February 17, 1923 in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Harry A. and Lottie B. Bentz March. Cider was the widower of Stella Krajacic March who passed away May 15, 2006.  Retired from the former Eaton- Dikeman Co., Mt. Holly Springs, Cider was also a past commander of the VFW # 7343 and member of the American Legion # 674. He served in the US Navy during WWII.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Mary Louise (Stephen) Shumaker of Newville; his son, Terry Lee (Joye) March of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Cider was preceded in death by his sister, Harriet Stoll.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Krajacic officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
