Charles Trump

Charles Edward Trump, 90, a resident of Chapel Pointe, Carlisle, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the home. Charles was born March 29, 1927, in the Uriah section of Gardners, to the late Elmer E. and Julia (Gardner) Trump.

He retired after 44 years from the C.H. Musselman Company, where he served as the personnel director for the Gardners plant.   Charles was a life-long member of the Uriah United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer, delegate to annual conference and historian; founding Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 75, Gardners, and an active volunteer for 50 years and recipient of the Silver Beaver Award; a past president of the Aspers Fire Company; and member of the Ira E. Lady American Legion Post # 262, Biglerville. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and veteran of WWII, having served in Italy.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Louise (Haskell) Trump, of 68 years; two sons, David Haskell Trump and wife, Judith of Midlothian VA, and Douglas Paull Trump and wife, Debra of Chatham NJ; five grandchildren, Allison (Trump) Brook and husband, Patrick of Richmond, VA, Caitlin (Trump) Johnson and husband, Patrick of Asheville, NC, Daniel Gardner Trump and wife, Kelly of Midlothian, VA, Andrew Haskell Trump and wife, Cassie Ligh of Philadelphia, and Matthew Paull Trump of Jersey City, NJ; and six great grandchildren.

Burial will be held privately in the Uriah Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Motter, chaplain at Chapel Pointe, and Rev. Andrew Ervin, his pastor at the church, officiating.
