Barry Lee Gibb

Barry Lee Gibb, 90, of Carlisle, PA, passed away December 3, 2024, in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. He was born on September 22, 1934, in Carlisle to the late Lee and Edna (Trone) Gibb. 

Barry was a Boiling Springs High School graduate class of 1953 and a United States Army Veteran. He went on to work for the Letterkenny Army Depot, New Cumberland Army Depot, Kinney Shoe Company, National Resources Conservation Service, and then retired from both the Mechanicsburg Naval Support Depot and the Cumberland County Courthouse. His memberships include, Camp Buckskin, Mt. Holly Springs Fish and Game, NARFE, AARP, and was a life member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle. Barry was an outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing. 

Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Shirley (Bream) Gibb of Carlisle; daughters, LeeAnne Burd of Carlisle and Mindy Bressler (Jeff) of York; grandchildren, Danielle Guilles (Fred) of Carlisle, Shannon Hammer (Patrick) of Philadelphia, and Jeffrey Bressler, Jr., of Philadelphia; and great grandchildren, Landon and Bentley. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 9, 2024, at 12:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Pastor Titus Clarke officiating. Burial will be held privately in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Carlisle Corps, 20 E Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
