Barbara Tolley

Barbara A. Tolley, 80, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, PA passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 22,1937 in Carlisle, PA to the late Eugene Carl and Mary Elizabeth Sampson Loughran.

Barbara retired from the former Cumberland County Nursing Home and was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God. She dearly loved her grandchildren and her dog “Smokey.” Barbara enjoyed playing bingo and was active at the home with crafts and activities.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Michelle) Tolley of Mt. Holly Springs; four daughters, Linda (Robert) Weidner of Mt. Holly Springs, Joyce (Garry) Meals of Shippensburg, Phyllis (William) Neil of Newburg and Sue (Ed) Cline of Carlisle. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and her siblings, Donna Rickrode and Donnie Shirley, both Carlisle. She was predeceased by her sister, Mildred Garner. She helped raised two granddaughters, Bobbi (Antonio) Borrero of Bendersville and Heather (Joseph) Harman of Rural Hall, NC.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Rd., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
