Arlene Delp

Arlene A. Delp, 94, formerly of Gardners, PA passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016  in Church of God Home, Carlisle, PA. She was born July 12, 1922 in Gardners, PA to the late Mark and Ethel I. Trump Weiser. Arlene was the widow of Glenn W. Delp who passed away in 1999.

Arlene  worked for Holly Woodcrafters and Starner's Fruit Farm. She was a member of Uriah United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women, bible study, youth fellowship and sang in the choir. Arlene was a avid bowler, bowling in different leagues.

She is survived by three sons, Larry (Margaret) Delp of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dennis Delp of Gardners, and Donald Delp of Mt. Holly Springs; a daughter, Annette (Don) Brown of Tucson, AZ; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Marion Hogue of Manchester and Joyce (Leland) King of Gardners. Arlene was predeceased by a sister, Romaine Gardner and a brother,  Everett Weiser.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Uriah United Methodist Church, 925 Goodyear Road, Gardners, PA 17324 with the Rev. Andrew Ervin officiating . A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the Uriah Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to her church.
