Alverta L. Yeingst, 89, formerly of Gardners, PA, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 4,1927 in Gardners, PA to the late Paul S. and Bessie M. Trump Yeingst. During her working career, Alverta was employed by the former Eaton Dikeman Co., Musselman Canning and Masland & Sons, retiring from Lear Corporation. A life member of the Uriah United Methodist Church, she also enjoyed gardening and dearly loved her family.
She is survived by two nieces, Carla (Randy) Ingram of Dillsburg, Beth (Ed) Smith of Carlisle; two nephews, Alan P. Yeingst of Buxton, NC and Dennis (Sue) Yeingst of Carlisle; and her brother, Richard E. Yeingst of Gardners. She was predeceased by her brothers, Elmer Yeingst and Sherman Yeingst.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Uriah United Methodist Church, 925 Goodyear Road, Gardners, PA 17324, with Rev. Andrew Ervin officiating, Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Contributions made be made to her church.
