Alma G. Murphy

Alma G. Murphy, 96, of Dillsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1927, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, to the late Blanche Fisher and Bud Garland and was the widow of Terry C. Murphy.

Alma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Most recently, Alma worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Carlisle. She had a love for people and animals. Alma treated everyone with kindness and love. Even strangers were drawn to her, and she touched their hearts with her kindness. Alma loved to read, laugh, and spend time with her family. 

Surviving are her six children, Terry D. Murphy of Harrisburg, Jan Brown (Butch) of Newport, Molly Murphy of Dillsburg, Tom Murphy (LuAnn) of Carlisle, Ted Murphy (Wendy) of Carlisle, and Tim Murphy (Mary Ann) of York Springs; grandchildren, Shawn Murphy (Emily), Tiffany Crum (David), Branden Brown (Kylee), Adrienne Murphy, Ed McNeal (Mana), Ryan McNeal, Alyssa Shapley (TJ), Abbie Mortorff (Jeremy), Katelynn Hughes (Matt), Kyle Murphy (Stephanie), Karly Black (Brandon), Ian Murphy (Jess); great grandchildren, Cole, Grady, Lilly, Isley, Paylin, Kinley, Sean, Bailey, Leo, Breccan, Knox, Rory, Raegan, Aela, Kade, Renner, Kinsley, Everett, McKenna, and Sullivan.  In addition to her parents and husband, Alma was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Cluck, Pearl Malone, and Crawford Garland. 

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Idaville United Brethren Church, 3590 Carlisle Road, Gardners, PA 17324 with Pastor Marc Webb officiating.
