Abel Crum Sr.

Abel T. Crum Sr., 95, of Boiling Springs, passed away at his home Saturday morning, July 27, 2013. He was born September 2, 1917 in Gardners, to the late Leroy Earl & Alice I. Myers Crum. Abel retired from New Penn Trucking and drove school bus for Boiling Springs School and Miller & Sons Bus Co. for many years. In his early years, he attended the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church with his wife Elizabeth I. Crum who is a resident of the Sarah Todd Memorial Home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Abel (Tom) Crum Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Carlisle; two daughters, Mary Anne (Marlin) Fry and Deborah E. (Fred) Stahl, both of Mt. Holly Springs. Abel had 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Esther Slusser of Georgetown, GA and Regina Brewer of Newville. He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia E. Thomas; two grandsons, Jeff & Scott Thomas; and sister, Helen Dupre.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday July 31 at 7:30 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, Pa 17065 with the Rev. Edward Alwine officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
